As part of a manic weekend – three parties in four days (Thursday evening at Jumping Jenny, Sunday evening a buffet on Gondola, all involving a lot of salmon, and over twenty different courses….) – Tori and Neal’s wedding was a delight. Very much a family and friends’ quiet celebration, really lovely atmosphere, a good band – Strange Fruit from Newcastle – and an opportunity for Gillie to provide her special Hokey Pokey Ice Cream Wedding Cake. Hokey Pokey Ice Cream is ‘food to die for’. The recipe, like that for ‘Aunt Grace’s Pavlova’ is from New Zealand, Gillie’s home country…. It created a lot of excitement!
