Suddenly it was summer! Glorious hot weather provided the perfect backdrop to Nick and Emily’s wedding. Seventy guests enjoyed the wedding breakfast – the hot served buffet (see under ‘Menus’ above) – with particular mention for a fairly unusual choice – the Armenian Lamb – ‘spicy but not hot’ – in the speeches. Apparently a vote was taken on the Lamb during Emily’s father’s speech, and there was a roar of appreciation. No doubt, the success of the dish was at least partly due to the excellent meat provided by Lake District Farmers, whose proud boast on the website – http://www.lakedistrictfarmers.co.uk – ‘The world’s finest beef and lamb.’ seems to be well justified.  We are very lucky to be included in their exclusive clientele… They provide an excellent service.

After Nick and Emily (both of them teachers – lucky pupils) had left on Sunday, we found some flowers for us, a present, and a most delightful card:- “Thank you for everything you have done to help us have the most wonderful, unforgettable wedding day here at Belmount. Everything we could have asked for was dealt with efficiently but with kindness and understanding. and we wish you all the best for your future ventures. And if your dogs need walking, get in touch! N&E.”

Emily’s parents commented:- “Thank you so much for all your organisation, wonderful food and attention to detail that made Emily and Nick’s wedding so memorable. You have the most beautiful house in a gorgeous setting and we wish you all the success in future years”.

A guest commented to Chris during the evening:- “I have been in the wedding catering business for some years. I think that that was the best food I’ve had at a wedding ever!”. 

All in all a lovely wedding weekend. We really enjoyed it, and it is of course wonderful to have such amazing feedback.
