Freer photography – John and Clair 

On the 29th September I photographed the wedding of John & Clair. The service was held at Jesus Church, Troutbeck & the reception was at the beautiful Belmount Hall. Their whole wedding was a wonderfully personal one with many fantastic touches and details including the receptions room decorated with lots of climbing equipment and reference to the great outdoors. It would be wise to tell you at this point that both John & Clair really enjoy the great outdoors and what the Lake District has to offer, John is a member of the Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team and also a qualified search dog handler. A wonderful moment was when the newly married couple left the church under an arch of ice axes presented by fellow members of the MRT and a chorus of search dogs barking. (The same search dogs that decided the church service needed their very vocal input)!

The reception was held at Belmount Hall, which is just outside of Hawkshead. Hawkshead is one of my favourite places in the Lake District and we have spent a lot of time staying there in the past. Belmount is a wonderful, peaceful venue, with a great deal of character and charm. Always well run and the food is absolutely fantastic.
